About Project:

Background:

The project investigates the advancement of technology and the relationship between human and machine. The research has focused on technologies, such as Cognitive Computing, Robotics, Chatbots, Assistant Devices and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Researching AI, has highlighted a narrowing divide between human and machine.

Current trend research, articles and talks have discussed the future of Cultural Archives. The project focuses specifically on museums, exhibition spaces and galleries and how they might develop alongside future technologies to enhance the vistitor’s experience of the exhibitions and collections both online and offline.

Aim:

The project aim is to create a consultancy that presents proposals to Culture archives. The proposals will envisage the future of these organisations in the technology-driven digital era, focusing on their historical or cultural significance and social position. Recognising the importance of the physical `hub' of these organisations whilst demonstrating ways to creatively implement technology in a user-friendly and practical way to solve challenges that these organisations might face in the digital era. These technologies will be used to build on visitor’s engagement with the institution and their archive.
